Jackman sightings excite film buffs

ONE of Australia's biggest stars Hugh Jackman was reportedly filming scenes from his new movie in a secluded location in Camden last week.
A Werombi Rd resident tipped off the Macarthur Chronicle to trucks and three large cranes bearing floodlights on both sides of Brownlow Hill Loop Rd in Camden last week, where locals believed scenes were being filmed.
He said the crew had been on location for up to four days.
One of the workmen entering the site on Friday said the crew had been shooting scenes for the latest X-men movie, X-men Origins: Wolverine, which is due for release next year.
Jackman is no stranger to Camden. The popular star and Nicole Kidman shot scenes for Baz Luhrmann's Australia at Camelot in 2006.
A spokeswoman for Jackman's production company Seed Productions confirmed the rumours. "They were out that way for four nights of shooting and they had a great time," she said.
As with the shooting in 2006, secrecy has shrouded last week's events, with scenes being shot after dark, according to nearby residents.
Murmurs on the internet have also placed the X-men trilogy star in the area, with a movie website's chat forum sighting Jackman at a gym.
